On 13 October 2026, the Bulgarian Association of Social Entrepreneurs (BASE) held its first workshop under the project “Organisational Strengthening of the Bulgarian Association of Social Entrepreneurs”, supported by the European Network of Social Integration Enterprises (ENSIE) within the Be WISE+ initiative.
Participants assessed the organisation’s strengths, areas for improvement and priorities for its further development. Discussions focused on governance, communication, active member engagement and opportunities to represent social enterprises more effectively. This work will inform efforts to strengthen member support and improve the representation of social enterprises in Bulgaria.
The next project activity will involve developing a plan to attract and actively engage new members. It will cover outreach to interested organisations, their integration into the network and opportunities to participate in joint initiatives.
Through the project, BASE is working to strengthen cooperation among social enterprises and enhance its capacity to advocate for policies supporting the labour market inclusion of people from vulnerable groups.
The project receives financial support from ENSIE under the Be WISE plus/2026/Call1 call and is co-funded by the European Union.
