About us
The Bulgarian Association of Social Entrepreneurs is a non-governmental organization established in 2022 as an association of legal entities, entrepreneurs managing social enterprises, or those engaged in social activities that generate social added value for vulnerable communities.
Mission
The Bulgarian Association of Social Entrepreneurs works to foster the development of social entrepreneurship and inclusive policies in Bulgaria, to enhance cooperation between social enterprises, entrepreneurs, and institutions, to design and implement tailored programs that support the sustainable growth and expansion of the social impact of social enterprises and entrepreneurs, to encourage civic engagement in good social practices and inclusive policies in Bulgaria, and to promote international cooperation in this field.
Vision
The Bulgarian Association of Social Entrepreneurs works towards policies and advocacy for social enterprises and their development. It strives to support and encourage its members to enhance the quality and competitiveness of the goods and services they provide.
Members
The members of the Bulgarian Association of Social Entrepreneurs are active social enterprises that share the ambition to join efforts in improving the social ecosystem for the development of social entrepreneurship in Bulgaria. Through their activities, the members of the Association aim to prepare positions on new educational, economic, technical, and social policies and instruments that create optimal conditions for the work of social entrepreneurs, while upholding the principles of transparency and prioritizing social impact in the functioning of social enterprises and responsible social business.
Organizing Seminars
The Association organizes and conducts educational and qualification training seminars, symposia, round tables, conferences, and other national and international forums. These events serve to present international training models and to invite international experts who share their knowledge and experience in the field of social and inclusive entrepreneurship.
Information Activities
The Association publishes and disseminates newsletters, journals, books, and other informational materials.
Networking and Cooperation
The Association establishes contacts and cooperation with organizations, foundations, and institutes in Bulgaria and abroad.
Project Activities
The Association carries out project-based activities aimed at promoting the principles of social entrepreneurship among the wider public.
Goals
Governance
The Bulgarian Association of Social Entrepreneurs is governed by a Board of Directors, implementing the decisions of the General Assembly of Members. The Chairperson of the Association is Mrs. Bistra Boncheva.
